The Wild Rover

Happy St Patrick's Day!

As well as celebrating St. Patrick’s Day, the Wild Rover celebrates its first year on Radio Zero. The show has some classic ballads from The Dubliners, The Clancy Bothers, Rattle The Boards, The Green Fields of America, Cara Dillon and The Corrigans. More traditional music comes from Planxty, El McMeen and The Bothy Band. A bit of story-telling comes from Eddie Lenihan’s version of St. Patrick’s meeting with Crom Dubh and the show ends with a rousing version of Ruby Murray’s ‘If You’re Irish’ accompanied by an ensemble of Radio Zero’s finest presenters.
